Look & Feel Choose Your Own
« on: November 17, 2013, 11:16:46 PM »
Okay, the Forum's white text on dark grey background may not be everyone's cup of tea. There are two other alternative themes; both of which have pages with white backgrounds.

The Forum's default theme is called "Dark Modern":

This theme is "Curve":

...and this one is "Core"

To get to the Theme chooser click on Profile in the header menu, then, under Modify Profile in the left sidebar menu choose Look and Layout, you'll see Current Theme: (change) click on (change) and you'll see a dropdown of the three available theme choices.

Jim -

Thanks! I didn't realize that could be a user set option!

Hey Lee --

Maybe we should be thinking about asking the members what theme/look they'd like for the Forum.

I could search around and maybe put together a slate of choices broader than just the current three. It's easy to set up a poll.

I'm with you, Dan. I find the white text against the dark grey is very readable and restful for my eyes. Sometimes with colored text it'd be easier to read against a light background. But, most people don't try to be  as fancy as I do and leave the color of their text alone. ::)

I'm enjoying the black type on the light blue background.  ;)

Paul, you'll always choose that road less travelled!   ;D

Question: When you're using that alternate theme what do you see in the header at the very top of the page? Does it say "Maine Shooters Forum" on the left and "Maine's Shooter to Shooter Society" on the right or "MEShooters"?

It says shooter society on the top right.
